The family-run Hotel Ancora is in the center of Cortina's pedestrian area, 1,000 feet from the Faloria ski elevator. Most rooms have a balcony, some overlooking the Dolomites.
One of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the Ancora was built in the early 19th century. It features characteristic wooden balconies, traditional furnishings and original works of art.
Ancora Hotel has been awarded a domestic certificate of excellence and has 2 restaurants, reviewed in a number of prestigious food guides. A delicious mix of international dishes is served in the Gothic-style restaurant with arched ceiling, or in the tavern with hand-painted ceramics.
During winter the hotel is only bookable for weekly stays, from Saturday to Saturday or from Sunday to Sunday.

Heating problem
Apart from heating and restaurant servise everything is nice,, rooms and inside the hotel is cold,, breakfast isnot enough and restaurant servise people is rude, because i couldnt sit anywhere where i want?? İf i have paid enough i could sit whereever i want. Management team should care of this. But the Mostly we loved that the location.

Breakfast was not great but dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good. We appreciated the upgrade to a nice suite.

In the heart of Cortina, with convenient parking and ski storage. Right next to the Snow Service Ski rental shop, which was very convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pricey, but made for a really no-hassle skiing holiday.
Breakfast was limited - eggs were cold and, after about 9am, the selection was limited.

Nice staff and excellent location if you like staying in the center.
Lousy WiFi. The facilities are a bit dated. It’s best suited for persons who like old furniture and fixtures. No fitness facility.
